Tobirama Senju was able to produce one without a pre-existing water source, which was a testament to his skill and one of the reasons why he was selected as Hokage. In the manga, the hand seal sequence for this technique ends in the same seal that activates the Byakugan, though Tobirama needs only one to use this technique. Furthermore, the anime creates a completely original and far more elaborate set of hand seals when Tobirama uses it in the form of having the right hand cupping the left hand with a thumbs-up.
Trivia Edit Edit
- In Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 3, Tobirama Senju uses an alternate version of this technique, though its name is still the same. Tobirama executes his usual hand seals for the technique from the anime, and performs Tornado of Water. Though, technically it is Tornado of Water, it is much larger and taller.
- In Naruto Shippūden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations, this technique is used by Tobirama as an offensive ninjutsu, as opposed to the usual defensive. Tobirama performs the hand seals used for the technique in the anime, followed by blowing water from his mouth, angled at the ground, working quite briefly in the same manner as Water Trumpet before causing separate sections of the water (in an advancing pattern) to explode upward in the same manner as a geyser. This version is made larger in Naruto Shippūden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3.
- When used by Darui, he used it in a more offensive manner, creating a tidal wave of high force against Sasuke Uchiha, forcing him back while charging it with Lightning Release: Wave of Inspiration to increase damage.
